Alice is currently seeking 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 to transition in the industry within the textile and sustainable materials sectors to work on projects that create tangible change and advance environmental and societal goals. She is eager to face new challenges that bridge human experience, technology, and textiles.

Alice is a designer and design researcher whose work revolves around people's experience of soft materials, focusing - though not exclusively - on textiles.

Alice holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. In her work at the Materials Experience Lab, she applies a Material-Driven Design approach to unveil the potential of textile-forms for novel interaction and experiential possibilities. She combines knowledge in interaction design, smart materials, digital fabrication, and textile design to explore how textile artefacts elicit certain actions from people and, ultimately, how this leads to novel ways of living and doing.

Her mission is to apply knowledge of emerging materials and novel textile production methods to improve the experience of textile products and challenge the textile industry's negative impact on our planet's future.
